Google Maps is a must-have app, and there is no valid excuse for not being present on it if you are a restaurant owner. This practical application can be a lifesaver in numerous situations, and it makes things easier both for a customer and for business.
If your restaurant is still not listed on Google Maps, we won’t tell anyone, but please do scroll down and follow these five simple steps:
1. Go to Google My Business
2. Enter Your Business Name and Address in the Search Box.
3. Select or Add Your Business. Click on your business listing if it appears among the suggested matches. If not, select “Add your Business”, and provide the information.
4. Verify Your Restaurant
You will be offered with a view options to verify your restaurant with Google. However, because your restaurant is a location based business the most likely outcome is that you will have to verify your restaurant by post mail.
Google will send a postcard with the verification code to your restaurants address. Make sure you’re able to receive mail at your location before starting this process. The postcard should arrive somewhere within 10 days.
To do this, first head back over to the Google My Business page. Choose your restaurant and click “Verify Now”.
5. Confirm your Business. Set up a Google+ Page and you’re done!
